Freddie Pool’s debut single is in production and is due for release Autumn 2014. This is Freddie’s first ever solo record. She was apparently offered a deal by Motown founder Berry Gordy and recorded a song called “Cryin’” which is in the vaults. Freddie was unwilling to leave her group at the time (Delicates). The single will be released on all digital platforms in the UK and Europe.
2014 promises to be a very exciting year for us at Driving Wheel Records. Not only do we have a new website exclusive CD in the pipeline. But we are also about to embark on the most exciting project of all, namely the return of Cindy Scott. Sundray Tucker has been busy writing new material these past few months and is due to enter the recording studios very soon.
We are delighted to announce that Driving Wheel Records recently completed a very successful recording session at Studio Rockfish in Utrecht, The Netherlands on 4th December 2013. Laying down an impressive set of vocals was none other than legendary soul artist Freddie Pool, who flew in from the USA especially for the Utrecht sessions.
Cindy Scott’s The Remix Project: Singles Collection was released officially on 17th August 2013 and is now available to download from iTunes Europe, Amazon and all major European digital download services. The original pre-release CD edition is still available to buy exclusively from this website.
The digital download version of Cindy Scott’s “Loved Up: The Remix Project” is all set to go and ready for an August/September European release date. Featuring a slightly amended line-up of tracks + 5 previously unreleased mixes. More details to be announced shortly.
